The Wind Changes
The thunder of an empty sky, Sent my heart racing back, To find your open arms, And found only a memory. The lightning came late, But did not linger in the air. It barely lit the ground, Below my feet where I would walk.
The air is calm now. There is no excitement left, In the retreating storm, No music left in the rain. The wind changes.... And the breeze threatens, To lift me from the ground. I hold my breath in fear.
Through the steady beat, Of the pouring rain, I hear voices call my name They whisper into the air, "Fly once more around the night. There is yet another moon to find. You are not alone, you are light, And someone waits for you to shine".
