Faithfully

Moving Pictures
These letters I’ve written,
Poems in a lonelier hour,
Wishing you were here by me,
And not so far away,
They’re just pictures of how dreary,
My life would be without your love.

You’re in no danger at all,
Of ever losing me to someone else.
There were times I could have gone.
But I could never do without your love.
And I love you more than anyone,
Who might try to take your place.

When I think about how distance cuts the time,
We get to spend close to each other,
I feel so sad inside but then remember,
Distance cannot cut our love in two.
You are just as much a part of me,
As I am a part of you.

A moving picture paints my dreams,
Where you are often there.
Asleep or awake, I remember,
All the times, memories we share.
Even when you’ve left for home, my dear,
I reach inside my heart to find....
A part of you is still with me here.
