Love For Now

It is not as shallow,
As it may once have seemed,
To want to be impermanent,
To want to love and leave.
There are so many out there,
Who bind themselves in love,
And do it with the cherished hope,
And trust they find in God above.
And surely their's is special,
If it stands the test of time,
For loving one another,
Will never be a crime.

But who is anyone to judge,
How long a love should last?
Could it be that some need wings,
To leave once night has past.
Nothing is so permanent,
Except for loving love,
And I will never stop,
As long as clouds remain above.
If at all I will love for now,
For what's to come is then.
Possibly the wings of sin beat strongly,
And I will be gone by then.
