Battle Weary
Limbo is not for the weary,
And the battle is not for the weak.
Determination is the story,
The strong-willed tells the meek.
I will not fail at this,
Please hear me when I speak.
Your name is on my lips,
And you are all I seek.
Should the dreamer tell the dream,
"Awake me from my sleep"
You cannot tell the difference,
When you are in that deep.
And looking for perfection,
In a world of flaws and holes,
Will rest heavy with your heart,
And trouble minds and souls.
Look not for the answer,
From the outside in,
Do not judge another’s sin;
Do not measure thick or thin
But as I am looking at you,
I see the inside shining through,
And there is beauty in those beams.
I see them also in my dreams.
